To cater the needs of Health Sector, ever growing Pharmaceutical Industry and to promote the Professional Education in the educationally backward Kaithal district, Rashtriya Vidya Samiti, (Regd.) through its visionary approach, thought of to start a Pharmacy Degree College in the year 2003. The sincere efforts by Management, brought fruits and after the due approval from All India Council of Technical Education and Govt. of Haryana, RKSD College of Pharmacy was established in the year 2004. Initially a four year degree course in Pharmacy was started. To meet the requirements of Community & Hospital Pharmacy, a two year Diploma in Pharmacy course was also started in the year 2006. Right from the 1st passed out batches of B. Pharm & D. Pharm in the year 2008, College has produced excellent academic results and students of the College have been placed in the merit lists of University and Board examinations. Almost all the passed out students have either been placed in the Industries or have gone for the higher education, i.e. M. Pharmacy & Ph. D to serve the Profession in various capacities. Few passed out have also gone abroad for higher education & settlement. Thus the aim of establishing the College seems to be fully attained.

In the present slow down, though there are vacant seats in other Colleges, but in our College there is no vacant seat. It is all due to the hardly earned reputation in terms of good governance, excellent academic environment, fully developed infrastructure, learned faculty & timely guidance and cooperative attitude of Management of the College. In the year 2011, Governing Body of the College, resolved to start M. Pharm Course also from the academic session 2012-13 and accordingly created required infrastructure & procured sophisticated instruments & books for the same & applied to AICTE for Approval.

Thereafter, AICTE approved 15 seats in M. Pharmacy with specialization in Pharmaceutics & subsequently Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak affiliated the Course. Considering the demand of admission seekers in B. Pharmacy, Governing body resolved to get increase in intake in B.
